Fitting everything into your cabin luggage doesn't need to be a struggle; even if you don't have a check-in bag
Tips on how to pack for a fashionable trip:
1. Check the Weather
Always be prepared for the weather - hot or cold, wet or dry. I use accuweather to check what I should pack for the entire duration of the trip, a week before I travel. My Fulton umbrella goes everywhere with me and it's saved me from getting drenched in many occasions during trips. The great thing is that it even saves me from the British weather; if it can withstand the strong winds here, it can survive any weather.
Highly recommended if you're looking for a wind-resistant, durable compact umbrella to take with you on your trips!
After checking the weather you'll be experiencing, that should give you a good idea of the types of clothing to pack depending on how sensitive you are to temperature. The tip to have two or more outfits a day to get your instagram-mode on is layering. Jackets/cardigans give you an entirely new look especially with the right angling in photos.
The photos above were all taken on the same day with the right layering on top to give you three different styles!
Another tip is to pack tops/bottoms that can be easily matched. That way, if you're looking to change your outfit during the day, all you need to do is bring an extra top/bottom!
I've learnt the hard way that you gotta have the right pair of shoes when you travel. My favourite pair of shoes to have with me during trips is my Axel Arigato sneakers. Yes it's basic but sometimes basic is what matches your outfit the best when you've got all that flare going on on top. Plus, it's super comfortable to walk a mile in!
I usually pack two or three pairs of shoes depending on the types of places I'll be visiting. A good pair of comfy loafers/flats can suit any type of clothing you wear and make it look classy.
And obviously a pair of sandals if you're going on a summer holiday!
4. Toiletries + Make-up
What goes into my toiletry bag:
Toothpaste, toothbrush, dental floss, hair pins, hair rubber bands, day + night moisturiser, sunscreen (an essential no matter wherever you're travelling to even if it's winter there; it protects you against UVA rays which causes wrinkles and age spots, so you'll thank me later!). Remember all liquids should be under 100 mLs!
Bits of what I take along on my trips are included in Travel Tips 101.
My favourite makeup palette for travel is the Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette cause it has all you need in a face palette (bronzer, blusher, eyeshadow). The neutral shades make it so easy to put on a face in 10 minutes or so. When you don't have much space left in your luggage, this will be the perfect palette for you!
DO NOT FORGET: Your passport, universal adapter and phone charger (and maybe a portable charge if you use your phone excessively when you're out and about)
